What you will need: 
Sketching paper (or your sketchbook), a soft pencil, eraser, ruler, paint brush, acrylic paints, palette, water pot, newspaperpaper towels, an apron, texture paste and a candle.

Your task:
Watch the video below and have a go at the same techniques shown. 
If you are working at home you may have to miss out the texture paste (unless you can mix sand in with your paint instead?), and the wax resist (unless you have a white candle?).
Extension Task:
  •  Invent some of your own techniques and consider when you might use them in your paintings. E.g, a rusty metallic object, a textured piece of bark or bricks, stones and pebbles.
